  • From the Artist:

“I firmly believe there is so much possibility for cross-disciplinary collaborations in the arts, especially in theatre. So, as I try to produce my new play It Sticks to the Ryver, I want to create a communal gallery space that lives and breathes with the world of the play.”

The Play:It Sticks to the Ryver is a play written for, with, and by disabled people (more specifically neurodiverse folk). Through it, we follow The Person, a college student, and The Other, a humanoid bird, as they learn to live and (re)grow together as a world collapses around them. After all, sometimes all you need is someone willing to wait with you.

The Google Form: It is meant as a way for me to connect with, see, read, hear, and generally interact with the work (artistic or academic) of my fellow queer and/or disabled creators. Any creator at any stage of their career/hobby is welcome to submit their work!

  • Theatre St-Bruno Players is a bilingual community theatre on Montreal’s south shore and we are seeking some help. Every production comes with its casting challenges, and our next show is no exception. As of Monday night, we have successfully cast five of the six male (stripper) roles, as well as the role of young Nathan (non-stripper) for The Full Monty. However, one small but essential role remains unfilled.

HORSE is a black, retired mill worker. Once the life of the party, he now moves at a slower pace due to health issues. Though he loves spending time with his friends and listening to their stories, he feels self-conscious about his size and tends to take a step back during their antics. However, when it comes to dancing, Horse is nothing short of explosive.

So we’re calling on the greater theatre community to help us in this noble quest—to bare butts! No experience is necessary.

Rehearsals begin in September with 4 shows starting on November 7th.

If you or someone you know fits the bill and is interested, please contact us at: tsbpas@theatresbp.ca

And just a friendly reminder—actors do NOT need to be a St-Bruno resident to be a member of TSBP!
