About QDF
Our Mission
The Quebec Drama Federation exists to support English-language theatre companies, artists and their artistic expressions in Quebec.
This support manifests itself through leadership, collaborations with partners and stakeholders in the community, promotion of the artists and companies, professional development and identification of the role of theatre in the community at large.
It also provides resources and means through which success and recognition of English-language theatre companies and artists in Quebec, to the rest of Canada and on an international scale, is achieved.
QDF’s Activities Are Based On Three Pillars:
We lobby for the rights and sustainability of English speaking theatre artists in Quebec on a provincial and national level.
Advocacy
We highlight the work of artists and cultural workers through services like our online theatre calendar and our monthly publication "The Overture".
Visibility
We create accessible opportunities for English theatre artists and companies to network and connect with one another, as well as fine tune their skills in theatre making on and off the stage.
Development
Membership
The Quebec Drama Federation is a membership organization - representing diverse demographics within the Quebec English Theatre Community, our members inform the advocacy work that we do. Our members also benefit from special QDF offers and opportunities.
Membership is Pay-What-You-Can, so that every member of our community can be a member of QDF.
