Join us for the MTL Launch!
Six of Montreal’s most prominent English Theatre companies are joining forces to announce their 2026-2027 seasons at the MTL Launch, taking place Tuesday, May 5th at the Conseil des Arts de Montréal.
The Quebec Drama Federation has collaborated closely with the six companies to bring this year’s joint launch to patrons, artists and members of the media.
This peak behind the curtain is sure to stir up anticipation for a rich artistic offering coming for Montreal audiences next season!

Black Theatre Workshop
Black Theatre Workshop (BTW) is Canada’s longest running theatre company dedicated to the works of Black and diasporic communities. BTW’s mission is to promote and produce outstanding theatre that educates, entertains and inspires. The company strives to create greater cross-cultural understanding by challenging its audience and the status quo. Expanding the representation of Black Canadian artists, BTW bridges cultural divides – uniting hearts, minds and communities.

Geordie Theatre
Geordie Theatre is Montreal’s leading English-language professional theatre for audiences of all ages, entertaining and engaging the imaginations of children and their families since 1980. Geordie believes that theatre is an essential educational tool, speaking to the experiences and challenges faced by today’s youth and provoking important conversations at home and in the classroom. Delivering more than 200 performances and reaching more than 41,000 young people and their communities across Eastern Canada each year, Geordie continues to create accessible opportunities for youth in rural and urban areas to experience and engage with theatre.

As a professional English feminist theatre company based in Tiohtiá:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal since 1987, Imago centres intersectional feminist values through mentorships, artists programs and productions. Our work is a catalyst for conversation as we advocate for gender inclusive storytelling, empower diverse voices, foster community and increase accessibility in live performing arts.

Infinithéâtre develops, produces and promotes plays written or adapted by Québec artists, with a commitment to theatre that reflects a vast diversity of experience. Based in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, we seek out and encourage works that examine and reflect contemporary society in all its complexity and beauty. We present innovative new plays created in collaboration with both emerging and established artists, providing professional support that is accessible, fruitful, and sustained. While our works are primarily presented in English, we aim to explore subject matter and themes that impact the many peoples that call Québec home.
